I would say begin with 2D and code it in Java from scratch with Graphics2D. This way you focus on the ideas and build something usable at the same time.

So how do you implement a TCP socket? I have always had to do synchronized(something) { socketInputStream.read(); } And the dude himself says that reading from a socket is a problem if you listen to the interview.

Well see, if Patricio Chilano hasn't fixed this in a year I would start to get VERY worried. Moving monitors into Java is not a good solution, like the long solution they are working on. Java should be the API not the implementation!

The GPU doesn't have a closed driver that works either. It's been a year for the JH7110 too, so I wouldn't hold my breath. On Vision Five 2 everything is still softpipe in the official Debian from Star Five! On the PineTab-V

The warning shots across the bow where heard with this statement from the devs: "Don't replace platform/native threads with virtual ones, replace tasks (without further explanation) instead"?! Combine that with the fact

100 FPS with 1500 characters? OpenGL (ES) 3 beats Vulkan at anything interesting on a single thread. How are these new protocols not divulged as bloated waste of time? Is every programmer a brainwashed eternal growth buffon? Probably job se

The most pervasive VR headset is that of money and abuse. You can tell Henrik also has that one firmly pulled down over his head when he mentions the cake story. The reason she could not eat cake is that the cake was violent. The reason Elo

The reason we fear shipping is that we know there is an absolute truth out there that nobody made any effort to find. ONLY if you ship that eternal fundamental solution have you made anything interesting. Everything is shit, think before yo

I doubt M$ can displace linux at this point for anything but consumption. To produce value you need to get away from bloat, not embrace it. Linux has it's problems too, but it's open; so we can fix them. Microsoft can't be fi

I think it's important to emphasize that you won't win against random luck without the rush strategy: - If you begin in a corner (best) or side (ok), you can win if the side opposite to the one you are rushing towards does not rus

I wouldn't consider moving to Paris without all the plans they have: - Central Paris will have ZERO diesel cars after 2024. - 1, 2, 3, 4 and north parts of 5, 6, 7 arr. will have limited non-diesel traffic. - Neuilly is also adopting t
