Speaking as someone partially responsible for turning the web into "some misfit wannabe app engine :(", yes – those were some of my favorite books when they were released.

Most humans would interpret "novell chief executive named to head internet company" to mean "novell is an internet company and its chief executive just became its head" which is incorrect (and a little nonsensical since

I love Swift and work on the web, so I would love to see a serious Swift to JS compiler. Unfortunately, this isn't it. One major part of Swift is its value types; many core types, including arrays, are passed by value, like a C struct.

acdlite is correct here -- most users won't need to worry about priorities and it's unclear to what extent we'll even expose them. The unit tests do not describe a public API (and we're not close to settling on one).

We usually strip the commit history since it's hard to audit the history for confidential info, but we don't normally remove comments when open-sourcing things. I'm not sure on the specifics of this case though.

Well, that fact combined with me saying they are not both managers must mean that Andy is not a manager. Seems unfair to claim "Elizabeth's post makes it sound like she's a manager-type" when she literally says she is a

I've worked extensively with both of the first two and they are excellent teammates; I'd be happy to work with either of them again. They are both very productive, and your hypothesis that they are both managers is incorrect.

Alternatively: the game's success (and profits) show that none of that matters so they were wise not to waste time on it. There's no way to perfectly harden an app like this, anyway.

That file is GPL but parts of it were adapted from MIT-licensed code (which the MIT license allows). It can be treated as GPL.

One of React's big selling points is easy integration into existing apps so we don't plan to neglect non-CLI users.

Insurance companies are profitable because they charge more then they pay out, in aggregate. If you have adequate capital, it is cheaper to self-insure since you don't need to pay for the profits of the insurance company.

I work on React. I'm not a lawyer so I won't try to paraphrase the license -- I actually think the wording is pretty simple already -- but to be clear, only the patent grant might terminate if you were to sue Facebook; the BSD lic

If simple things were possible before with React, then they still are, and that's not changing. You don't need Flux and Redux a lot of the time; in my experience they're overused and React component state is underused. I agre
