This is not necessarily a problem, see for example http://phantomjs.org/ Google also shows javascript-only content in search results now.

Coincidentally I wrote almost exactly the same post for Ember today: http://alexspeller.com/server-side-validations-with-ember-da... At the bottom of that post you can see that rendering the errors in rails can actually be

Restocking fees are illegal in the UK for online or telephone sales. In fact ordering online in the UK gives you very good consumer protection thanks to the excellent Distance Selling Regulations. You have the right to cancel an order from

I think you are using a different definition of "Semantic" - please provide a snippet of html you feel is semantic and I'll show how this approach can be used with it.

no, but <section> or <div class="products"> are semantic, and there's no reason you couldn't use those instead of <div class="container"> by using the features of LESS or SASS.

Alternatively use SASS (and the bootstrap SASS port[1]) which doesn't has this problem, as it instead rewrites selectors. i.e. if you have: .column { width: 100px; display: inline-block; } And you do: .co

No, it is correct. Backend agnostic means that it doesn't require your frontend project to be served by a rails app, a node app, a python app or whatever. It is written in node, but it is backend agnostic. This is not disingenuous at a

These complaints ring true for trivial javascript projects, however if you are building complex javascript heavy applications the equation quickly changes. Point 1: You will almost always be transpiling your javascript. In any serious proje

I was forced to use mercurial for a few years at work and I really hated it. Sure it has a better learning curve than git (or did) but I found it to be incredibly frustrating already knowing git. In addition, I found it to be slower, less f

I generally prefer SCSS to LESS as it's essentially a superset of LESS. Relevant link: http://metaskills.net/2012/02/27/too-less-should-you-be-usin...

If you're in the UK, Zen Internet now offer £25/month truly unlimited fibre broadband. ~80mbps down, ~20mbps up, no traffic shaping / AUP or anything. I am so happy with my internet right now.
