Java isn't 'cool' anymore. No one wants to write Java. They want to use the newest flavour of the month. While it might be possible that everyone gets tired of these and returns to Java, I don't think it's very probable. If I had to bet,

I was a coop student working at RIM in 2007 when the iPhone came out. Their complacency and ignorance ensured I found work elsewhere post-graduation.

Agreed. I was a physics major for three years, but here I am doing webdev as a fulltime gig.

Bah, I bought this and tried to view it on an iPad. After a few failed attempts I try on my computer and it says I've used all my downloads? Boo.

Go to https://twitter.com/#!/speg and you can see all my tweets. How is that different than going to http://oink-prod.s3.amazonaws.com/speg-export.zip and getting all my Oinks. I never read the Oink privacy policy because I assumed ever

I'm pretty much ready to go all in with JavaScript. I just need to find a good (read: cheap & easy) place to have a node server.

but that's not the point of Milk... Milk was founded on the idea of pumping out lots of small things and seeing if any of them stuck. If they kept Oink alive until it took off (if ever) they wouldn't be able to build the next thing.

Milk. The whole point of Milk is to pump out lots of ideas (and hope one sticks). It would be against their mission statement to keep Oinking.

This is awesome. I've been waiting for this! Now all I need is the same thing for JavaScript and I'll be in heaven!

I've been using it more and more, but still use Coda for larger projects just so I can use the code navigator to get my head around the larger code base. I haven't seen anything like that for sublime yet...

Isn't there an option to "Open all files like this" in the 'Open With' dialog?

Set it to read my todo.txt file in dropbox and now I have awesome, easy, simple, 'just works' cross app synchronization! (Though, they use + for project notifiers, and @ for locations. hmm... )

I've never used Growl for more than 10 minutes. Last time I tried it a few years ago it didn't seem to work with some default (i.e., Apple) apps. I'm very much looking forward to notifications because they will have exactly that.

Ironic that this is on the home page the same time the article about Bootstrap missing semi-colons is. Crockford made it to keep himself from falling into traps and lets everyone else use (and configure) it too. That doesn't mean you have

Touché, I was reading his site yesterday and laughed out loud a few times. Like mentioned above, these apps are programming tools. It's not like he's mass marketing these to uninformed consumers.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I was stoked to see 1.0 was out, but after doing just the simple quick start I was disappointed with the lag between popups/transitions. Let me know if you find a fix!
