Have they moved to a faster release schedule? I feel like 1.5 just came out and we can already expect 1.6 in August (not that I'm complaining about it).

What about editing files in the editor? Being able to adjust CSS/JS files in Chrome is great.

I've seen Gorilla ( http://www.gorillatoolkit.org/ ) used quite a bit. The standard library is also good enough for small and quick things.

The same could be said about people trying to use old web browsers.

Looks like it doesn't even use notifications on iOS. That's a big bummer :(

As a developer I don't think I could go back. Unless I was working on a Windows stack. Knowing you have *nix under the hood is just too comforting.

Me too, but I'm a bit confused by: authenticated with a superuser So is this primarily for editing your own site? I'm looking for something where users can edit their own data.

I can only speak for myself, but IMO jQuery won because of their docs. I seem to remember having a hell of a time trying to get MooTools to work in the summer of '06, and finding docs to be of no help.

http://www.google.com/appsstatus#hl=en&v=status&ts=1... says it's all good but I don't know if that includes Google Apps. I can't get in either.

I get paid a salary to work X hours a week. If you want me to be "all in" and go the extra mile, you need to align my interests with that of the company — through equity or other means.

I feel like the best time of day to post is a weekday morning. This gets people when they first get into work and check the news, and also hits the lunch break on the East coast. YMMV.

You run `virtualenv .` in your project folder and it will setup a virtual environment. To enter the virtual environment run `source bin/activate`. I don’t know about you, but I hate to see bin/ lib/ and other folders

I have been running Django 1.5 on Python 3.3 since 1.5c1 - ran into zero problems. It is solid... but... a lot of packages are not ready for 3 yet. So it depends how far you want to go.. Playing around by yourself? I'd go with Python 3.
