Yes I agree that at full speed with parallel workloads, the tokens per watt are better using Nvidia GPU servers. Also while the pre fill performance sucks, the Mac isn’t that slow and can use much better model compared to a similarly priced

Energy efficiency is in another league with the Mac Studio for local workloads. I can run agents using deepseek v4 flash or Qwen 3.8 on my m3 ultra and it will be lukewarm and the fan will eventually start blowing softly.

Yes, this is not too rare to see base64 images in JSON but I won't recommend that. You gain back most of the base64 overhead when you compress it though. It's slower but probably often worth it if the alternative is few more async

To answer seriously, my parent comment is a joke, JSON is a simpler format that maps better to most programming languages internal memory representations. Developers tend to prefer JSON’s simplicity over XML.

Many runners do enjoy running. Like every sport, it’s not for everyone. If you don’t enjoy running you don’t have to do it. I personally find the easy runs relaxing for the brain, and not taxing on the body, and the hard runs are quite fun.
