Pretty sure they were speaking of the PowerPC age, not Intel. The iBook and PowerBook G3 and G4, not the MacBook and MacBook Pro.

Like you said, my M1 Mac mini “officially” supports two monitors plugged in directly. It’s nice that DisplayLink connections let an M1 machine have unlimited displays, and that the performance of their driver under Big Sur and above has bee

From what I read in the news, it seems like almost every company does this almost every day to almost every journalist who has ever written something unflattering about them. Troll army raiders add swatting to the list.

They kept two USB-A ports on the 2020 M1 Mac mini. I’m grateful for that, but having them provided by a dock is fine for me. It’s possible they’ll show up in upcoming machines like the iMac Pro and Mac Pro.

iPhones ship with a USB-C to Lightning cable. Plug that into the MacBook charger and you’re good. No problem here, is it not working for you?

Your AirPods came with a USB-C to Lightning cable. It’s unfortunate that you couldn’t use the power cable from your Mac, but at least the correct cable to charge the AirPods case was included.
