Source for that last fact? I was curious which president, so I looked it up and the creation of the Situation Room was ordered by JFK who was assassinated before the movie was even released.

I've heard it said (perhaps apocryphally) that when non-English speakers are asked to judge words based purely on aesthetics, the word 'diarrhea' tends to rank quite highly.

Wow, I had no idea that they just repaired it and kept using it as a presidential limo until 1977. That's wild!

To be clear, that's not referencing ocean depth to the sea floor. It means the epicenter is located 18 miles down inside the Earth's crust.

Did you just assume that that would bypass the paywall without checking?

Are they really, though? Was he actually remembering them exactly? Did anyone check? Or was he just experiencing the feeling of remembering them? I can sometimes experience the feeling of "remembering" completely fake things in dr

What on earth do you consider the common thread between those two names?

Because elections here aren't "announced". They're on a fixed 4-year schedule. Everyone knows they're coming, and if they start just a little sooner than the other guy this time, that may give them an advantage. Ove

There's no analog for the sign. You just put it in because without it your scenario still feels like theft (because it is) and you end up arguing against your own point.

You seem to have confused Pakistan for Bangladesh. Unless I'm misunderstanding your point.

The explanation I've given a couple of times for people who are completely non-technical and just want a basic intuition for how cars turn gasoline into forward motion goes something like this: -Gasoline vapor is highly flammable, and

As in, once they ran out of milk to sell they would buy milk from the store and sell that at a markup? Or just that they would buy milk from the store for their personal use rather than dip into their own supply?

They didn't say they intended to break in, they said they looked to see if there was a way to break in. If they could see a way, then so could anyone else, which would suggest that they aren't being protected. No actual ingress ne

After Interpol's surveillance determined that someone was illegally making firearms, what would happen next? Presumably some sort of enforcement to stop them? How would that enforcement be conducted?

Because the obscure site had not existed for years when the copypasta first appeared. So someone would have had to have found that obscure site and then saved the image for years before using it. Honestly, both options (website or archive)

That's... not at all true. There's no insider connection required for a pump-and-dump to be considered fraud. Maybe you're confusing it with "insider trading", which is a different thing.

That was my first reaction too, but I have to admit that the book quotes he was able pull out to support his argument took me by surprise.
