So after their last business failed, they shut it down, exported all the data out of it, started a new business, imported all the data, and are now operating sans all the original investors?

Def agree that AppCode belongs in any iOS dev's toolkit, exactly for this purpose (and some helpful others, e.g. code formatting, unit testing). And I also agree with your assessment on language evolution - but to provide a fair counte

Very cool. But the fact that a (fairly complex!) third party plugin was required to do things like rename constants is tragic. Where is the first-party support for basic edits in Xcode, two years after the release of the language?

I'll take the counter-point here and vote for Objective-C. Swift has not reached a level of maturity that we're comfortable with it for mission-critical code. Each Xcode revision brings breaking changes which require you to addres

I suppose I don't have anything of intelligence to add, but I did want to congratulate all involved, as the results are actually very impressive. Carry on!

Is there some context to this? I am assuming it's a parody of some then-current controversy? Edit: Appears to be a parody of Comodo issuing rogue certs. More - http://www.scmagazine.com/experts-weigh-in-on-comodo-ssl-ce

So I'm a big fan of OpenTTD which is a similar premise - but I can't help but feel like the timing is going to hurt them here. OpenTTD, OpenRCT, et al, solve a problem that the original game is a subpar (or unplayable) experience

There seems to be a common narrative in all of the recent (~5 years or so) environmental disasters in the US - subjectively, most of them seem to have been caused, at least in part, due to corporate negligence: either an antiquated safety c

Well they based most of their original implementation on Apache Harmony. Just speculating here but it may have been due to dates. OpenJDK's first release was ~2007 but IIRC the original pre-Google Android team started work in 2003 or 2
