Data is always written to the SSD, but _not_ always read from the SSD, just from whatever device it's stored on.

Without the seed aspect I'd imagine. I could be wrong though but seems kinda pointless/risky for the company to actually seed.

One thing, they have an upper limit of 25 characters for the password. Sometimes that's ok, but not always a good sign for how they store passwords.
