It's not a binary choice, but a spectrum. It depends on the scope and your own abilities - you can't turn a river around with a stick, but you can clean up your part of the lawn. Keep control over what you can control, and don

Unemployment frees us from labor too but it's not exactly good either, I'd rather avoid it.

Well, couldn't it have been trained on the 2-second fold trick? Besides, it might require more precise or quick movements than a regular fold.

I have done a few - even if very amateurish, still learning, on the side, for saxophone covers. Budget was basically just transportation to the location. I don't count the price of my equipment in the budget because I'm also not c

Art isn't just the screenplay, or a prompt; it's the clash between reality and the intent (whether a location or practical set constraints), the individual skill of everyone involved, costume and prop department. And it may change

Security vulnerabilities get too much credit. It's "think of the children" of the software world. Most updates don't fix any, most vulnerabilities won't get used in the real world against you either, and in many cas

While the users are not at fault, this culture has certainly turned me way more careful and deliberate about applying updates - if it's not broke, I usually don't; big corporations are more suspicious of breaking things and open s

It already is illegal in some places, but there's a lot of legal antisocial behavior that we let go but that doesn't get talked about as much - like watching videos in public transport on the loudspeaker, or advertising in general

Oh the power may remain, but at least finally the buses and subways will be free of the constant noise of someone blasting short form content or games who doesn't have headphones. I'll take that.

Funny how the worry of "digital exclusion" of the elders who would never be able to use a smartphone has been thrown out of the window in recent years.

Certainly my parents have considered computers important enough, so I learned all the skills for dealing with them - installing Windows 98, finding working drives, navigating eMule, debugging IDE drives... Well, what use is that now?

Thankfully, it's not illegal to own a screwdriver and nothing changes there. There's absolutely no relevance between right to repair (not right to break emission laws!) and the situation you describe.
