   You really don't need any special for a computed property. I'd start with a simple getter: class MyElement extends LitElement { @property() value: number = 42; get valueSquared() { return this.value ** 2;

   I see you're using lit-html, LitElement/web components, and you've exposed lit-html to users. That's awesome! I'm one of the authors. Observable's html templates were inspired by lit-html, but they ended up imp

   A clever way that the Material Design icon font works is to define ligatures for all the icon names, so the text in the document is default readable by a screen reader. This only helps when the icon is used for something relevant to its def

   And how many candidates do they think you can interview this way? Let's say you hire 1 our of 10 candidates. Can you afford to give these types of assignments and manage them for 10 people to hire 1? Sounds completely implausible to me

   I thought this was going to be able stale data and race conditions, which is a much more insidious problem, IMO. The trifecta of mutability, shared state, and async operations can cause some very hard to reason about bugs.

    My team uses ZenHub extensively, but it's not that great for OSS projects IMO. The extra metadata and organization that ZenHub allows isn't visible via GitHub issues, so it's basically just for the core team. Issue dependenci

    Client side code can assume a single-user context. It could write user-specific values to globals, use them in modules, etc., and it would be fine on the client side. But run in a multi-user environment it would be relatively easy to leak d

    What's your suggestion for a better API? You can't just say "React" though, you have to show how it actually integrates with the DOM that we have. "Throw away the DOM we have" isn't a realistic option eith
