Is Bluetooth good yet? I had issues as recent as last year's new products. But otherwise I love the concept of hardware access with HTML. The embedded guy in me thinks the future is going to be crazy. I can't quite wrap my head ar

It was more of the opportunity I got. I've been told it's a high prestige job, and I've learned enough to start my own company. It's also the highest paid $/hr in my field.

I also think my teenage job was monumental in my career. Mostly that it helped me get my first industry job. Then my first intern industry job sucked, which got me a fantastic first job.

I'll tell you the realities of Mechanical Engineering and auto. You typically will make a single part. Maybe its the plastic to cover the car's metal. Maybe its the screen user interfaces with, maybe its airbags. Whatever the case

It's easy to think today is different, but historically- war/scorched earth tactics, famine, genocide, raiders, etc... Are all problems that humans dealt with for ten thousand years. It's hard to know if prepping for the nex

Imo, I'd rather have 3 months off when they are 1 to 3 years old. Those first few months are a slog. I understand for moms, nursing is the real benefit.

1 in 4 people want to be a leader? Being a social media influencer translates to influencer. Which seems to be either a leader, or some sub variant of leader. Is it a surprise people want to make a difference and be the decider of that diff

>This is how passive USB-C to 3.5mm audio dongles work From what I've read, this isn't exactly reliable. Maybe we can blame the device IC, but it gives me Bluetooth vibes where everyone blames each other. Anyway, happy to see t

If they do, it hasn't been used in history. There might be some multi step exploit that requires me to download an app from an external source, but nothing like the 0 clicks.

I can't get used phones for the (hardware) security risks. I have some pretty important stuff on my phone that is worth around 7 figures. On a similar note, Pegasus has me unable to get an iPhone even if I wanted to.

What models are you comparing? I had both between 2016-2018 for work and I was shocked at how slow, buggy/unresponsive, annoying(sign in/update reminders upon unlock), and featureless my work iphone was to my Pixel. I have no idea

I'm more interested in redundancy rather than more features (as a consumer). I've had to buy a new phone twice because the phones charing was finiky. Since you can't access the phones storage, this can be a death sentence to

I'm with you. Over the years Gnome pushed me away with the ambitious but undesired UX. It reminded me of M$ forcing Windows 8 tiles. I'm just happy that linux gives me plenty of options for distros and desktops. I've never ev

As iphones get more popular, it will lose its Veblen effect. When teenagers who have no job have iphones, it doesn't portray "wealthy" as it used to. Among my 100k-300k/yr friends, it's about a 50/50 split. My
