London is hard. My take on it was; People go there to "make it" and put huge pressure on themselves to, and as a result live to work. People end up socialising pretty much only in work circles, and ex-work circles (including uni)

No webgl2, but there are a lot of webgl2 extensions supported. The biggest omission for me is not being able to render to float textures. (Although a lot of android devices cant do this either)

What do you want to make! Starting with a software renderer is nuts. Start with unity, make an unlit shader, start doing basic effects (in colours, then using texture samples) using uv coordinates. (In frag, ignore vertexes to start with).
