Seconded. Rating TV episodes on IMDb is a very useful feature, especially now that it supports sorting episodes by rating, e.g., http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098904/eprate?ref_=tt_eps_rhs_s...

Short answer to why people are orange: simplistic color correction schemes, overzealously applied during video editing. Priceonomics did a wonderful exposé of this trend recently. http://priceonomics.com/why-every-movie-look

The stuff about him overpaying himself is bad enough, but why isn't anyone talking about his ex-wife's allegations at the end of this piece? (Charitable interpretation: people didn't make it that far bc this thing is so poorl

What shocked me about this article was the poll showing 77% of people in Mexico are opposed to legalization. Why? Social conservatism? Do they not understand that prohibition benefits the cartels and funds their violence?

Terrible analysis. > Over the past four years, Google’s annual revenue growth has plummeted from 30% to 10% while expenses have ballooned from 69% to 75% of sales. And 90% of its $66 billion in sales still come from online advertising. T

The aesthetics of these "interactive art" apps always leave much to be desired. Any image I make with this one looks like e-cigarette packaging.

Exactly. This is what I was hoping for from an investigative piece on Theranos. Even an n=1 sample where the author had his or her blood tests done with Theranos and a competitor would be worth more than all the speculation in this article.

Bravo to this post. Whether or not you agree with Aubrey de Grey, you have to admit that he is a true radical, whereas the man portrayed in this article strikes me as little more than a conceited tinkerer--one of our contemporary capitalist

Yes, sadly, Soylent is made from the world's most fragile ingredients. If you modify it in any way that you would normal food, it becomes useless, nutritionally inert goo that even Oliver Twist would reject.
