Non-metropolitan areas can be nice. I suppose bit twiddling is specialized. There are fewer jobs, but also fewer people seeking those jobs. That relative lack of competition goes in your favor. High-level developers (Java, JavaScript, Go, P

I just checked a proprietary VMX driver. It fully disables VMX before turning interrupts back on. If I remember right, it works fine with VMWare running on the same machine, so they must be doing likewise. I think I recall problems with Hyp

To avoid crystals, maximize the variety of sugars. For example, if you had 20 different molecules, they wouldn't pack into crystals very well. If you are being a perfectionist, I think you'd want to do this by molar proportion rat

It isn't secret, but notice how many words it takes to explain things. That becomes half the job post and looks ridiculous. If I don't go into that long-winded explanation, and maybe even if I do, people are going to make some ver

Although informally correct, this is highly misleading. There really isn't much info about the company on the internet, the stuff that shows up in searches is laughably wrong, and it is really important to understand that "Raytheo

I'm not really sure. Many reasons seem to contribute to it. My wife is hard-core Catholic. Her uncle fell apart mentally after losing his only daughter, so having extras is sort of a backup plan. Kids can be fun. Having kids is pretty

Heh. I have a family of 13. The kids can get generic AA degrees at the local community college, because that is only $80 per credit hour and they don't need dorms or dining plans. Scholarships do not exist for normal kids.

A popular trade-off is to work for a government contractor. You can get that kind of money as a salary, and the trust issues are all taken care of. Having a real salary is helpful if you want to get a loan to buy a house. It evens out your
