There is no real evidence that computers can be programmed to intelligently invent and act on their own thought processes. All notable AI techniques to date specify in exhausting detail the thought processes that the AI should execute in c

The answer to the question is yes, most chess players have accepted computers play the game better and don't care. High level chess will eventually just change the rules if forced drawing lines make it too dull.

Good art is expensive and he makes niche games. My gut feeling is that if he just improved the art without making sure the games appealed to a wider audience it would fail financially.

As someone who has been "diagnosed" with mental illness, I've found that the farther away from the reach of those quacks I am, the happier and more successful my life has been. YMMV

Minimal convulsions happen because they drug the hell out of patients before they are shocked. Otherwise they would be flailing around like a fish out of the water and writhing in pain like they were when they used to do the procedure with

Ah yes, nothing dubiously ethical about strapping a patient to a gurney, administering tranquilizers(to reduce convulsions) and indiscriminately shocking the brain with high voltages. Everyone that volunteers for ECT is coached into it, no

AdWords is and always has been the goose that lays the golden eggs, none of Google's other initiatives have ever rivaled that revenue. That's why they put so much effort into bolstering and optimizing their search results pages.

Things that don't support the ad business are never going to be very high priorities for google. Is a medical resource routing system going to pop out of someone's 20% time? Doubt.
