It's well known that machine learning is currently useful for solving some problems and irrelevant to others. As is the case with all existing ai algorithms. ML is not strong ai and nobody has ever claimed it was, so it seems to be an

All that glitters isn't gold. Wake me up when Microsoft makes a serious effort to make Visual Studio a cross platform development suite. We all know the only reason this exists is because Microsoft has little traction in the smartphone

I agree with your sentiment, I think the author makes some decent points but is pretty biased towards an aesthetic he prefers and the art tools he's most familiar with. The sf4 example is particularly demonstrating of that, people that

I think the iphone 6+ is about the size limit for fitting into pockets and holding it to your ear and taking pictures non awkwardly. Theyll need to figure out a way to physically expand and compact the screen to make a true universal device

I like the website design but shuffling cards is extremely trivial to code. Also cards are mostly used for gambling games and it's a huge security hole to use a third party api for that unless it's from a very trustworthy source.

They have some of the codebase in c++ already from minecraft Xbox and pocket edition versions. If they expect it to be a long term ip/revenue source they will probably want a unified c++ codebase. Hard to improve the graphics engine m

In my opinion logic, "deep learning", and everything else are subproblems. The real test of strong a.i. is intelligent code generation.

Linux desktop is and has been second rate for a long long time. Turns out unless there are corporate sponsors paying for development, open source software sucks. The OSS community is pretty much in denial about that.

I disagree. Programming is creating an efficient man->machine interface. All abstractions are leaky, the best programming languages balance control with convenience. There is a cost and benefit for every design decision. Disregarding
