It reminds me of accounting systems. Asset accounts are 1000. Liability accounts are 2000. Stockholders' Equity are 3000. Revenue are 4000. Expenses are 5000. Then the second digit differentiates which specific category of account it i

I really want a modern BlackBerry where I can make phone calls, send messages, check emails, use maps, use NFC payments, and occasionally play brick breaker. I don’t need the entire internet in my pocket. I can sit down at a computer when I

I wish we could return to a Wii U like functionality where the switch could be used as a second screen when undocked. That was a really nice feature in games like Zelda where the controller in your hands displayed the inventory or a map.

Yeah I thought the t-shirt move was ridiculous, but it's genuinely a very high-quality shirt. I'd like all my company shirts to be made by them. It's still a bizarre unrelated business decision, but at least they nailed it. A

One of the more intense things I pulled off was greatly reducing my calories when I made my career switch into software engineering. I saved up enough money (and sold my car) to take a year off from work to study computer science full time.

Many of these suggestions are ridiculous. I think either eliminate the three pointer or allow goaltending on three pointers. Gregg Popovich was right in pointing out that it was a gimmick introduced by the ABA and makes the game worse. Ever

It certainly stinks as a software engineer laid off in January who has struggled to find work. The hiring bar is too high at every company. They’re actively looking for reasons to eliminate you rather than reasons to pass you. That mindset

A standardized test is considerably more standardized than a leetcode interview though. Not to mention you take it once and then provide the scores to everyone. My process with taking the cpa exam a single time was a much better experience

I’m a general backend dev. I’ve used python, rust, and TypeScript to varying degrees along with SQL and noSQL databases. I’m pretty comfortable learning new stacks I haven’t used before.
