Any specific apps? I'm not having performance issues on an iPhone SE 3, which should be a lot less powerful, but perhaps I haven't bumped into them. Or maybe apps use different resources on a less powerful phone? Siri was broken f

I'm not fully following. Are your last names extremely similar but different, and are you also maintaining citizenship in a foreign country that uses gendered last names? Because that's the crux of the issue. Otherwise it sounds l

> if its big SUVs, why are pedestrian deaths for sedans increasing too? The article is well researched but doesn't seem to account for the increase in weight and size of the sedans it mentions as a counter to the rise of SUVs being

My mom can't get to our lake house anymore without GPS even though she's been driving there for forty years. To be fair, a wild amount of construction and development has occurred around it in the past 15 years, but the road signs

The modern Apple experience is defined by removing the head phone jack, the silent switch, and worse, the home button. My dad has used an iPhone and an iPad for years and occasionally uses a Mac at home. He's not terribly old and is fa

I can only speak as a US CPA, but revenue and income are used interchangeably. You're thinking of net income or profit. It's certainly preferable to use the term revenue instead of income in my opinion however to avoid misundersta

I have been following Barilla's passive cooking recommendations[0] for years to great effect. You boil the pasta for a short amount of time and then turn off the stove and put the lid on. Takes a tiny amount longer than leaving the sto

Borrow from the library! Kobo has library borrowing built right into the device if you're in the US and can use Overdrive/Libby. Otherwise, you can use the Libby app to send the book to your Kindle.

Usually short grain white rice, but it's mixed in food. Things like stuffed peppers and tomatoes or stuffed grape leaves. Not a plain side dish.

My non-software engineer friends have better things to do than learn Wine, and yet they use it everyday when playing games on their steam deck, unaware of its existence.

I've been waiting for this for a year, but I'm a bit disappointed. It's larger than the 17 and 17 pro, and it weighs more than my SE 3rd gen. The price is also insane. It costs the same as an entire computer. I just want a li

A strong reason I enjoy Rust for collaboration is that it's so opinionated, it forces people to focus on solving real problems. I agree that bikeshedding over ES Lint and Prettier configs are not a strong use of time.

High school also killed my love for reading. I really regret that I didn't start reading again outside of assigned works until I graduated college. Now I read a pretty significant amount, and it's a joy to me! Something about how

That seems to contradict my third sentence. Hyperfocusing does not mean choosing what to focus on. My point was, ADHD to me is not an issue in focusing. It's an issue with choosing what to focus on.

It's legally required to report a going concern when you are publicly traded. This is funny because it's a bit of the reverse, but I bet their accountants deemed publishing this as a requirement.
