I've seen SDRs being used to track civilian airplanes using TV transmitters. Using two antennas/receivers, one pointed at the transmitter as reference and one towards a big air traffic plane, they might get a couple km range. Whil

The snipping tool in Windows 11 can already record videos. I just copied the result and then pasted it in Telegram, it worked great and can handle more than 256 colors. I guess having gif support for those who need it is better than not hav

Yes, but Tesla has made several weird strategic errors IMO. The first one I remember reacting to where the falcon doors on the model X. They had issues which delayed the launch, and I remember thinking it was strange to put those kind of sp

Via the regular mobile network according to one article I read. The Ukrainians said that all operators where safely out of Russia when the news broke, so I doubt they where at the airfields several hundreds of kilometers from Ukraine.

No, an image is a well ordered grid of pixels. The 3D variant would be voxels, and Nvidia recently released a project to do scene reconstruction with sparse voxels [0]. If you take these triangles, make them share vertices, and order them i

This looks really nice, but I cant help to think this is a stop gap solution like other splatting techniques. It's certainly better than NERFs, where the whole scene is contained in a black box, but reality is not made up of a triangle

They claimed that the sale was because they wanted to scale it "to the next level" and "go from strength to strength for many years to come". I guess the best way of doing that is to fire the people building it. https:&

Every time I update llm I have to reinstall all plugins, like gemini and ollama. My Gemini key is still saved, as are my aliases for my ollama models, so I don't get why the installed plugins are lost.

You might want to extract the location from the image exif data and include in the prompt as well. There are reverse geocoding libraries and services that takes coordinates and return a city, which would probably make for a better summary o
