He said the destination is “mars orbit”. So if it gets there, it should be hanging out waiting for humanity to get there. I wonder how long the battery pack on the tesla will run the radio.

skip the `min` for production completely. use `fa.css` and if you want the expanded one for development, then you could have `fa.[max|debug|whatever].css`

I took it to mean "I have some extra money, and I want something to fiddle with, is there anything that the hackernews readers know of that might be on sale?" But maybe that's just my question...

We just wrote all our own inline styles to override their stuff. It turned out to be not that bad. We just set up a context object like theirs, and wrapped all the components we used.

USB-C can run a straight pin out to HDMI now, so you would just have to carry a cable, not a dongle and a cable. http://www.hdmi.org/manufacturer/HDMIAltModeUSBTypeC.aspx

We already do this when we have a lot of props to pass down. "A lot" usually means enough to take the line past 100 columns. const componentProps = {}; <Component {...componentProps} />

"The way to take over an industry is not to fix the current model, but to completely destroy it and replace it with a model you know is better" Open source is the better model for every single industry. It's coming.

Fair enough, I take it back :) That being said, I have seen lots of vertical "off-by-one" issues related to trying to combine line-height, vertical-align, and padding.

The real problem here is using vertical paddings. One solution I've found to getting vertical heights the same across browsers is to use no vertical padding, and large line-heights.

That site specifically was a porn site. Our 3.0 upgrade of the site involved a lot "get this working, NEXT!" so the CSS is kind of a mess. I've got a nice stat page to show me just how much of a mess now though!
