NYC is by all accounts ahead technologically of PR. PR has had this technology for awhile. Its been a long time since I've been anywhere in the US that didn't accept chip.

I'm in Puerto Rico and almost all of shops that take card take chip. I feel like you may have been frequenting some odd places if you were having a hard time finding chip in NYC :P

I never need cash except when a hurricane is coming. But hurricanes are like being stalked by a turtle. I just go and grab the cash once I get notified there might be one :)

Our policies got much longer with GDPR. We only collect information for legitimate reasons (i.e we need it for the service they are using), we ask for it, and we never target it / sell the data. It helps that our customers are paying

The murder is definitely law enforcements fault. If they go in wanting to use deadly force without any proof that is on them. Of course the guys who made false claims should also be in trouble, but just because they were wrong, doesn

I'd love the law to come down on the people who murdered an innocent man without verifying claims. Why do they approach assuming guilt? It shouldn't be this easy to get people murdered by making false claims.

Payroll is the biggest issue. You have to pay taxes in any state your employee is working. This gets expensive and time intensive as you start filing annual reports and paying taxes in 4 or 5 states.

You ever tried to do photo manipulation, graphic design, or video editing in a virtualized OS? It is miserable. There is a reason I said I was dual booting and not running virtualization :)

Yeah, I need to try it out again. When it first came out I tried it and things like RethinkDB and Redis wouldn't start-up on it. Its on my list to try again and see if they've made it better.

I've been using macbooks full time for 3 years now and I hate them. They are bad hardware for a high price tag. As a developer they are the perfect middle ground. OSX runs everything I usually run in Linux and I have all the paid f

Hey! I found your responses and the discussion in general around this fascinating. I'm currently running an event tech start-up and would love to talk to you more about it. It looks like you took an approach we wanted to take but tho

He had a second chance. He did it once and got a misdemeanor and was able to move on with his life. The problem is he decided to do it AGAIN . Maybe there is an argument for a third chance? But a repeat offender is a repeat offender.

What those packages fail to realize is that many of us still value more than just our wife and kids. Relocating means leaving uncles aunts, cousins, mom, dad, grandma, etc. And any friends you have. I've had to explain to many recruite

I wonder if this came out of the SF/Bay Area style growth after taking on investment? I haven't heard if they've been hiring a ton lately but I saw this happen with SurveyMonkey when we went from 100 employees to 1500. The fi

I also went through SUP, which is why I responded. I can only speak for while I was there. Delays were minimal and usually caused by documentation and not them withholding secretly. That may have changed in later rounds.

StartupChile is significantly different. With SUP you have to prove the funds were used appropriately as part of the fund. It is an equity free government program. The terms of the agreement are that you are reimbursed for approved expen

Can you provide any tips on how you reached out to other alum in preparation (you said you prepared with AlphaFlow and Snapdocs for example). Also, are you allowed to share any of the questions you had that you found surprising?

Thanks for the sentiment. We are major sponsors of PyCon and have donated to PyPy. What I'm trying to suggest is that the amount they've received to support Python 3 ($250,000 from Mozilla, $66,677 in public donations) is signal

Although I disagree with the sentiment that PyPy2/Python2 should die, I also disagree with the PyPy team treating PY3 as a second class citizen. For this release PyPy2 shipped with binaries for 11 platforms, PyPy3 shipped with 1.

The other thing is the $7 price point is for an individual / enterprise. You can't have a team collaborating which means that isn't the price point any business is paying.

I'm surprised everyone is jumping on Lyft even though Thiel is a major investor in Lyft and a huge supporter of Trump. I think it'd make most sense to avoid both services if you are concerned about the recent immigration ban.
