What happens when the electricity goes out? And the food in the fridge goes bad and nobody can get to the store because the electric car isn't charged? Have we really thought this through? Redundant energy sources makes sense.

I've never seen a good definition of financialization. Some mean by it the increasing use of debt. Here it seems to mean that startups are funded by VCs and not by bootstrapping. I'm not sure financialization is a useful word.

Why doesn't a site like Feedly immediately convert a blog or podcast url into a feed if I paste it? Or does that feature exist? It's strange that the intermediate process of finding the feed is necessary. I use getrssfeed com
