I made up my decision and finally made the switch this evening, after reading this post. So far I'm pretty happy about it. Thanks etix! Several things I'd like to share here: 1. XMPP Fastmail actually comes with a XMPP server. Thi

Well, I'm not sure if I mis-configured something, but I was not able to trigger MPTCP traffic from iOS 7. I was using a MPTCP enabled Linux box, serving video files over HTTP. But all I saw from iOS was traditional single-path TCP. If

Yes! The design of MPTCP specifically takes that into considerations since most of hosts are behind a NAT. It basically initiates may normal TCP connections as subflows. All the middle-boxes would see normal TCP connections while the two MP

Thanks for the references! I actually started to look into FreeBSD kernel code recently. I've found that FreeBSD's ath driver code is cleaner and more straightforward compared to the ath/ath*k drivers in Linux. Not sure if th

I did this about a month ago and am still using it. mutt is the only thing that 1) I feel comfortable with; and 2) works with GPGTools. Airmail would make a good alternative if it supported GPGTools :-(

Threading not working properly is a result of some email clients not implementing the standard properly. RFC 2822 [0] has clear definition on threading using In-Reply-To and References fields. Its precedent RFC 822 [1] had definition on In-

Please let there be an API. Home Sensors + ifttt + Bread Box would be a good alternative for morning alarms :-) Or make it integrated with the navigation app on my cell phone. Based on traffic status, it'll schedule bread baking. After

The loop (particularly `range c`) keeps getting element out of `c` and assigning it to `n`. If it's "done", then `n` wouldn't be sent into `out`, but still gets read from the channel `c` constantly. In other words, it&#x

I guess an obvious difference is that Go has these stuff built into runtime and syntax, which makes those light-weight threads / tasks a first class thing. Furthermore, is there a way in "Java SingleThreadExecutor" and its re

iOS is the only mobile OS that has multipath TCP built-in AFAIK. They introduced that only half-year after MPTCP got standardized. I think that's a valid feature for being "advanced". And yes you can enable that by installing

I got my bank account before getting my SSN. They ask for passport and maybe some other documents (e.g. I-20 for F-1 Visas) but certainly getting a bank account without SSN is possible.

The idea that this gives write access to my SSH keys is still scary. Not that I don't trust your service, but what if somebody attacks it and adds malicious keys? Or does write access not include SSH keys?
