I think it's more that we want information today and we don't have actual user testing today. And we're all guilty of this - why else did we click when the machines are still pre-order.

That actually seems more logical than the alternatives. One of the big hopes for Rosetta2 is the possibility of intercepting library calls and passing them to the native library where possible. So a well-behaved app using OS libraries for

Argh I live in house that's been converted into two flats. One system calls us (to borrow your example) 29 and 29A, another calls us 29A and 29B, and assorted outliers call mine Downstairs, Ground Floor, Grannyflat .. It must be worse

Seems silly to pay so much for leaded fuel. I used to have a 1974 mini, and a single bottle of lead additive would last months.

Oh totally. And I can see why they'd want to keep the component count down. Their regular keyboard is $17, and the 4GB pi4 is $55. So if you just duct-taped the pi to the keyboard, you'd already be $2 (plus tape) over the RRP o

The PoE hat - at least the existing one as we know it - won't work for the 400. Besides the 40pin header it also uses another 2x2 header behind the magjack, which is where it receives the input from the ethernet jack. Oddly, this boar

I think what they're looking at is over-sizing rather than right-sizing. Think of it as cost=size*method. Future-proofing increases the size, not the method.

I assume you saw the video with Plunkett the RPF put out ( https://youtu.be/yiHgmNBOzkc specifically interesting at 10:45 ) - He mentioned he was testing 10GbE fibre and reached 3.2gbit. Now he goes into absolutely zero de

I had a similar email address for many years. I kept putting in tickets asking if we could change it, or at least create an alias sans-apostrophe, but never got a reply. Eventually they came to me and asked if I'd mind changing it. I

I still use my iPod for exactly this. Not so much that it’ll stay charged for days, but that I can listen to podcasts & books for days without discharging my phone.

You might like to address your corrections to the supreme court, as they're citing the 1972 Value-Added Tax act verbatim; https://courts.ie/acc/alfresco/fad40678-a172-44c7-9f84-66f8c... It appears the Finance

Right, I was just trying to provide some context to the number. My regular sponge mix is equal weights of flour, sugar, butter and egg. So the proportion of sugar would be described as 100%, but it's actually 25% of the wet weight. Y

Possibly, yeah. But I think they'd benefit more from the official updates. I'm not trying to argue that unofficial patches would be a bad thing. I just don't think a source tree from 2003 is a good place to start. Any bina

It's 10% relative to the flour, not 10% of the whole. The number itself isn't nuts. The sponge recipe I usually use is 100% sugar (eg, 200g sugar, 200g flour). They just don't reach the 0% tax bracket if it's over 2%

It's probably not all that useful for that, to be honest. People building this are setting their clocks to sometime 2003 because something in the process is timebombed (including the resulting build). SP3 was 2008. Support officiall

Personally? I'd decide the utility of having it public-facing is no longer worth the risk, and firewall it down to a much narrower set of source networks. I'd probably take a moment to brush up on my key hygiene too.

I'm with you on that one. I actually want to go back to the office. I don't have a dedicated workspace at home, and I'm definitely feeling it. The line between working from home, and living at work, is getting very blurry.
