I am a frontend developer, but from afar, backend looks harder. I think the challenge is being able to look at all things that are new and choosing the ones that matter. From your post, I think you are failing hard at this. I safely ignore

No thoughts about the fish, but I was recently very surprised to learn that some people exclude my country, Brazil, from “western” culture. Like you did opposing “developing” and “westerners”. Aside from geographical position, I certainly f

So that’s the reason they in the latest iOS they moved the URL bar and navigation buttons to the bottom of the screen, to use with one hand. I prefer small phones (iPhone SE 2nd was the first ever iPhone I bought because of that reason) but

I practice an extremely casual version of the hobby to the point it is not even a hobby. I did a bonsai course more than 20 years ago. I practiced in the course on my first tree that died weeks later. Then I bought another plant, created th

I think the “lost swagger” thing is that there was a decision made behind closed doors that he knew was bad and chose not to speak up. So when that decision indeed caused something bad, he emailed the CEO explaining why they should have kno

Great tip! It is hard to find removable wired IEM around here, but just found a local e-commerce representative for Shure so just bought exactly a Shire SE 215!

I never had a wired in-ear earphone that lasted more than 2 years. My guess is 90% didn’t pass the one year mark. I use it while commuting, going to the supermarket, cleaning the house, etc. Any recommendation of a wired in-ear earphone tha

Congrats! I just completed the easy demo on an iPhone SE and it worked great. No issue at all with selecting and positioning the pieces. Great work! The UX is not good only because of the screen size. Either you see too few of the pieces or

I think it depends on your country. Also I am not sure how well legal terms translate. I am in Brazil, so I created what I would call a ”sole proprietor company” that can export services.

I think HN is very different from Reddit, in the sense that I don’t think is addictive at all (for me). HN doesn’t have infinite scroll, doesn’t have infinite pages with different posts. And that’s what I think would make something addictiv

My current impression of AR/VR is that is the new 3D TV: it is a futuristic-looking tech that big companies were pushing like crazy because its adoption would mean a whole new market and revenue stream to be created. Only that no one r
