As a reader, I like it. It might nudge me to subscribe to a few more newsletters even if I don’t plan to read all emails, just to see Notes from that author. Sure, I won’t subscribe to hundreds of newsletters, but a few dozen might create a

This happened last month too, a data analysis of Who Is Hiring one or two days after it is published with a pessimistic conclusion. Then, one week later, you realize the number of posts is back to an ok level (even improving)

> ”If there is value in what you write then the readers will be there” I don’t think that’s true anymore. Of course, it depends on how you define “value”, but I think having something “special” to share not always attract readers. Cont

Omer Moav mentions in a recent Econtalk episode how you can say that the emergence of the state in human society can be considered the transition from road bandits to organized crime. https://www.econtalk.org/omer-moav-on-th

I think Apple is on the right track. A lot of good shows, a few great ones. Severance is probably the one that might be their Sopranos.

If the differentiation is better scalability, it only matters when there is scale. That is not a reason for a user to choose AT over Mastodon. I don’t think Blue Sky’s app is more decentralized that Mastodon currently. So I interpret your p

Script was probably run too early to be comparable to older posts, right? March Who is hiring thread is now close to 500 total comments (guessing around 20 of those are not job posts?)

I remember having a bit of hope that an easy win could be he making changes to regain trust from developers and make Twitter a more dynamic platform with a more open API. Turns out, he did exactly the opposite and led to even more distrust

Too early to tell any of those things. The layoffs on sales might make the business worse in the mid term. The layoffs on product and engineering might make the product worse, even obsolete in the mid term. There is absolutely no way to tel

Substack doesn’t curate their content. Any blog platform will have questionable content, but I don’t see that as a reason to ignore all content ever published on that platform by anyone.
