I was there last winter and the free transport was just incredible. Especially for a tourist. On top of all of the busses and trams being super new and clean, it was a dream.

I have experienced this with using m.2 SSDs in an external enclosure. I found they all throttled until I bought one that had a fan. Never throttled again.

You will be spending so many calories just by getting up and going to the bathroom.

Are you sure you are using the h264_videotoolbox options? I mean, you might be, but that, for me, seems to be the problem. Ffmpeg is quite fast if you can invoke the hardware encoders.

To me, this building is made famous by Transport Tycoon, and I am so sad to see the end.

You can create a screenshots folder and default all of the screenshots straight into it. That’s been a lifesaver for me.

My backyard in Louisiana has zero, zilch, nada. However; when I lived in NYC, I would see them all of the time on riverside.

I have also found that search results are getting frustratingly worse. Often even when I put in explicit search terms and quotes, and filter out words that I don't want, Google will return results that don't adhere to what I am lo

I hope swarm doesn't go away, though I still lament them splitting the apps in two.

I use Swarm a lot and it has been invaluable for me to remember places that I have been to. I use it all of the time to remember what places are worth returning to and to tell my friends who are looking for recommendations in certain cities

Opera cast is generally pretty great, but it is pretty manual and they do miss a lot of things going on. There are now lots of classical streaming only services like Primephonic, Idagio, and others that take care of the metadata problem.

I am not sure I understand. The whole point of social media is that you don’t have to talk to people one-on-one and waste time. I literally have no clue what “community” is trying to solve. There is no way that people with a large community

I would like to see a filter for UHS-II SD cards as well. I think Sony is the only brand making a hub with one included at the moment.

I have been using Hexo for quite some time and it's very easy to use and setup. It's the node alternative to Hugo which uses Go.

Sorry but multi account containers aren’t even close to the same thing as having separate profiles. This is one of those things for me that keeps me coming back to chrome.

Well, tahini is just blended sesame seeds and miso paste is just fermented soybeans and rice. Hardly what I would call processed in a modern sense.

Fun anecdote here. Just last month my wife and I were in Barcelona and we needed to go to Madrid. She had her company buy a plane ticket and I took the train. We left at the exact same time and I took 100% public transportation and she had

I use a modified Scrape ‘N Feed to scrape the sites I need without RSS. With this I can go another level deeper and scrape the entire article and return that back to the feed instead of just getting the snippet. https://www.crumm

Remember also that in Switzerland you pay for your trash bags. A bag that you have to throw away costs €1-2. Recycling is essentially free.

I still consume nearly all of my content in 720p. The bandwidth requirements usually outstrip my need for fidelity. This is especially true when traveling when I don’t have access to my own broadband. It’s easy to get stuck in a place with

Yeah. This was an instant but for me. Knowing his past materials and insight. Any designer would see this as a strong investment. I can use this in future projects and keep this as a reference. Glad it was released.

Another vote for NewsBlur here too. I’ve been a paying member since Google Reader left us. It’s been absolutely fantastic.
