I wonder who will be providing the actual service of identity verification for Meta or if they'll try to do it in-house.

Feel free to check out some rankings of this stuff by people that have thought about it methodically rather than just cherry-picking examples. US is ranked 6th and 20th in the world by Fraser Institute and Heritage Organization, respectivel

Microsoft was founded before oracle and is among the top 5 largest tech co's. IBM and oracle may not be as big as they used to but they're still huge. oracle in particular is at a near all time high.

I just don't see how this is a big deal, if you have a high bar for quality then don't be an early adopter / buy something on the day it is released. You can always wait and see how something develops, the outcome is no diffe

is $15/month really that much of an expense? i share my PostgreSQL instance across projects, really does not seem like that big of a deal to me considering it's such a big hobby of mine.

I really doubt this. Unless I'm working pretty directly with someone (that is, on the same specific project), it's hard for me to know how much they're really contributing. On my team of 8, I really only know how hard 2 or 3

How do you spot these people though? In a large organization, it's hard to know. Hell, even in my team of 10 people I only really know how much 2 or 3 of my teammates are doing.
