Oh, loophole found! 'This next thing is the best idea ever and you will agree! Recruiters want to sell bananas ' 'OK, good, what is the... ' I hope this is catched by the grading system afterward.

I had a lot of fun testing the system. I couldn't answer several questions and we're asked the question in a loop, that wasn't very nice, however if I didn't know some metric asked or some definition of that metric I was

One collection that I always loved due to the clear exposition is the one from Walter Greiner[0]. It goes from zero to quite advanced theoretical physics topics in a very nice way. I think that sadly some volumes were never translated, so t

That reminds me a lot how one presentation from the Nvidia GTC was made! https://youtu.be/1qhqZ9ECm70?si=ESfE4ITfmSrq508y Truly impressive video.

I'm always surprised by the amount of advises in rehearsal. I like to give public speaches, but I organize myself completely differently. I spend much time making Slides that are easy to follow and logically ordered, and in each I know

Let say.. I remember quite well when I learned Lisp, and differently to any other language I learned, it gave me profound insights and even more profound frustration trying to understand some concepts. I remember playing with call with cc,

I think the common opinion is that unless you are really careful, it becomes quite a big executable eating a huge amount of ram even for low functionality and often slow. There are very good electron apps, but the engineering to make them s

It becomes an oversight to a deliberate act only if the recording person knows that he was detected. So that means that your anti recording glasses should signal 'no recording' in some way. Otherwise it's not really useful..

I used reveal.js and quadro to make lecture slides. And as much as I wanted to like it, it never worked out. For easy presentations and pitch deck I'm sure it works well.. But the people behind those tools do not seem to have the exper

IMO math is backward compatible by default unless you change the foundational axioms (rare occurrence). In particular you can most of the time define morphisms between concepts.

As a non US resident, I don't really get it. Can someone explain why is it such a crime to run a school? (illegal maybe, but I guess the purpose is still to teach to young people). Shouldn't we promote the creation of schools?

I don't mind either, I have way too few time to write blogposts, but I have some things that I want to share. So I focus on the content extensively, and use the llm to help with the style and the phrasing and grammar.. But I often corr

I didn't check exactly what Kaitai does but, MPEG uses a custom SDL for it's binary syntax: https://mpeggroup.github.io/mpeg-sdl-editor/ Just sharing, in case someone is interested :)

I like programming, I like clean code, so it's something I struggled with when I began research. But actually, producing easy to read code when you don't have specifications, because you don't know yet if the idea will work,

I would be interested in looking at such a course, all the ones I saw were pretty dull. I found the most systematic way of teaching critical thinking is to do a lot of maths.
