I don't understand it either. If I were an investor I would rather the startup found out after 3 months and 50,000 that the idea didn't work, than after 3 years and 500,000 (or more).

Where you went wrong was in realizing that Emacs isn't a text-editor. Emacs is a text-based IDE.

Just wanted to point out that Symbian phones allow installation of application downloaded from any source with only some platform security restrictions. I guess those 47% Symbian phones in the smartphone market [1] are not a better majority

Knowing the Panic guys I am sure it's real. With the attention to detail Cabel usually has, I'm sure he spend the time to make the photo look exactly like he wanted it to: perfect.

When you talk about debugging with a simulator I assume you are thinking about targeting a mobile device, so correct me if I'm wrong. One of the strength of Qt when developing for mobile devices is that you can develop your app on the deskt

I fully agree, but I also think Apple is moving in that direction with Dashcode, although it doesn't really provide the full functionality of Xcode+Interface builder. I think, the time when HTML5+JS+CSS will become everyday for small apps

Usually I talk a lot more to people if I have a clear reason to. If you are an organizer you have a _very_ clear reason to talk to people, and it can help forcing you to do so.

I do the same after reading an article on zenhabits.net. Of course, I get up at 5:50 am, but only because it allows me to get a seat on the bus and train.
