I am really happy that you make 420k but I guarantee you that there are plenty of developers who make more than 220k. (I make more than that and in my know plenty of folks personally who make that amount) One easy to way more money than thi

Long time ago* Eric Sink wrote this article named 'Small ISVs: You need developers, not programmers'. http://ericsink.com/No_Programmers.html I think Eric's article was able to articulate differences between

As someone who works in .NET ecosystem, this is HUGE. I think there is huge synergy [1] to be exploited by combining Xamarin's team with language/compiler design/visual studio team. I think MS is extremely well positioned to

Not sure what you mean by complete event loop. But I have a strong feeling that you are comparing apples to oranges in your benchmark.

That looks better. However, I am really not sure what you are trying to achieve here. You didn't specify any scheduler, it means your tasks will use a default scheduler and that scheduler uses threadpool [1] and it will never create 1M

Doesn't matter. Unless you do TaskFactory.StartNew or Task.Run, it's not going to try to schedule work on another thread. Everything is happening in the main thread in your code.

Is it me or the visualization is very hard to follow? E.g. if you highlight the 'Dancers and Choreographers' section, it's not at all clear that more female dancers marry male welders.

What a great article. Takes up a problem which everyone is familiar with and then describes how one will go about solving it in Nim. I have been writing software for close to 15 years. When a new programming language comes out, I am looking

Thank you so much for writing that up, that surely makes a lot of sense. What is your opinion on Ken? The way he organized press conference before Avery's trial? The way he proposed two wildly different theories in two trials? Do you t

I have been meaning to ask you. What's the rationale behind allowing prosecution to have two different theories for two different trials for the same crime? How was this precedent set? Do you personally agree with it?

Fair enough point. If the test isn't reliable, then no conclusions (positive or negative) can be drawn. How about his testimony? Even though nothing about 'police integrity' was mentioned in the EDTA test request, he talks ab

I agree with other comment here where I don't know if Avery is guilty or not. However, the documentary absolutely showed how corrupt and evil the entire justice system can be and how one is at severe disadvantage if they are uneducated

Did you see the documentary? The FBI test and related testimony was bullshit. This is only the second time an EDTA test was done so we have to worry about the accuracy of it and more importantly, logic says: 1. If EDTA is found in the blood

I am really happy that you are able to quit. Nicotine as an addiction is very difficult to break and one should try every approach and see what works best for them. For those for whom 'quit your job and move somewhere' is not an o

I was born and brought up in India. When I was going to school in 1990, my dad used to earn around 6,000 INR / month (120$/month, exchange rate was 50 back then). We ate out probably once every few months but even then, the salary
