Same here, very confused by no plugin option. When I saw the article originally, got very excited. My 8 mile commute to the office is perfect for something like this... but swapping the battery kinda kills it for me.

Exactly, this conversation is about extrinsic factors. It's a widely held belief that experiences of financial need drive some people to succeed financially. In my view, this is a personal question for every individual and not that use

The sad situation is that most American's don't have nearly enough saved for retirement and most never will. That's why social security actually exists and it's not that great for those that end-up depending solely on th

This seems very different from basic income discussed today. What they essentially describe is an expanded need-based assistance program. US provides a tax credit for very low income that essentially results in negative tax. The Swiss refer

I'm pretty sure it's more like 35+ years. Soviet Union has been gone for 23 years now. It's a Soviet love story where a guy gets so drunk with his buddies that he ends up getting on the plane instead of his friend and goes to

I think it depends on city density. Many streets in SF have about as many trees as light poles, so you'd probably have to replace all those with the glowing ones to make enough light.

That was my thought as well. Wildlife has adapted to the city life, but changing how trees work will definitely have unintended consequences. If like the other comments note, the impact is lost within a few generations, it's of less ri

Eh... Propaganda has been so strong on both sides that I doubt we will ever know the truth. Personally, I'm very conflicted on the question of Crimea and don't think I can comment or discuss unbiasedly.

The politics and history there is much more complicated! I strongly believe that any country put in a position of power will expand the control by any means necessary. Your own history is far from flawless: http://en.m.wikipedia.

It doesn't subsidize it, such data "products" are a new revenue source for the ISPs. While I don't think it's wrong for them to want to make more money, it is wrong to alter a paid service and go directly against th

Issue with Crimea is so much more complicated than that. While the inclusion of it as part of Ukraine in 1991 is not in dispute, the land was only "moved" into the Ukrainian SSR in 1954. At the time, it was about equivalent to tra
