This is very insightful. I'd also add that having such people let loose to do interviews without training and checks and balances also is a huge red flag about the org.

It's actually a bit worse (or better) depending on how you see it. You get to invest (time, energy) in what will land you a job. 99% it's not what you want/like and not what is technically best. IT's just what came to do
