Better yet, beans and rice are nutritional, can be cooked in a variety of ways, and are exceptionally affordable.

That's still using language. My dog has theory of mind in the real world where things actually exist. Also, those results don't look as strong to me as you suggest. I do not accept that an LLM is conscious nor could I ever unless

Consciousness is observable in others! Our communication and empathy and indeed language depend on the awareness that others share our perceived reality but not our mind. As gp says, this is hard to describe or quantify, but that doesn'

Fair enough. It popped to mind because I just heard it. After looking it up, I found it was produced and recorded in California, by an American label. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sk8er_Boi

100%. I'm excited to find somewhere not playing disco and skater boy, and instead supporting their local music. Hell, here in the UK I'm happy to hear Sheeran even though he's not really my style typically. I don't menti

I'm not sure it's all that new. During the Bush Jr. years America was not highly thought of. I'm an American traveling through Scandinavia and Northern continental Europe for the last three weeks, now in the UK. I haven'

Usually a pardon is for a conviction with some level of ambiguity or prosecutorial misconduct. Hunter himself admits to the privilege of being pardoned. https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/5568271-hunter-b.

What's the narrative? Human rights abuse is bad, speaking out about it got him fired? I have a hard time seeing some nafarious angle to what he talked about other than China doesn't want their shit called out.

This interview with a former Turkish NBA player who protested things happening in China with simple statements on his shoes convinced me the NBA has no morals whatsoever. https://open.spotify.com/episode/3LUPh7waoWtydoi

Wait, camping and box fan don't exactly jive in my mind. Car camping with electric I suppose? Camping for me is 30lbs in a backpack. Definitely no fans or power banks.

Ok, we're 100% aligning. I was taking care of myself, because I was on the way to bad burnout, and wasn't delivering what I had during the "honeymoon" with that company. Despite feeling like a lynchpin in the organizatio

I thought the same... Then I got laid off. It can happen, not certain it will happen to you, and delivering quality certainly matters more than loc or stupid metrics. Glad you're in a good situation

That works short-term. Long-term, expectations of productivity catch up, and you either deliver more or get laid off. It's a treadmill not a mountain.

I've never heard of link, so it's the difference between a random website and a well established brand. Not that hard to understand why someone might be hesitant to put in their cc details.

Yah, I'm not disagreeing. US passport is still very good, if only because of easy access to US embassies abroad in case of trouble. I don't mind a little paperwork to travel to other countries
