I've tried a couple cross platform frameworks (mostly Xamarin and PhoneGap/Cordova) and am aware of some challenges there. To me, Xamarin is like programming for each platform, just in C# and with another layer of bugs (and weirdn

As an example, VS needs UAC permission to integrate with a local IIS install, so there's a big group of .NET-based web developers that really need it with such a setup. But honestly, giving a developer non-admin privileges of their own

LCHF promoters have a marketing issue because it feels like a cult or a religion. If they could just focus their message to "eat as little artificial sugar and starch as possible", I think fewer people would cry out in protest. It

I'm almost starting to believe there are forces in the FBI trying to thwart the case for the FBI, by making so ridiculous claims that the legal precedence will be set for a long time, preventing the FBI or any agency to get this kind o

I think my cups are closer to 200 ml, which apparently is approaching 100 mg caffeine per cup, so I guess you're right. A "medium-size coffeehouse coffee" (at Starbucks) is 16 fl.oz. Here in Europe, that's not really a n

Excessive use of anything tends to be bad. "Normal" intake of coffee [1] may have plenty of health benefits, so why quit? Because self control? I'll drink my 3-4 cups of black filtered coffee a day with a good conscience. [1]

Or just take a Calcium/Magnesium 2:1 (try 500/250mg daily) supplement with vitamin D. Better ratio, no anti-histamin. Vitamin D helps the body utilize the minerals. My better half had serious acid reflux, but no longer use prescri

A lot of people don't really know their own email address, then. When based on their name, they might write both with capitalization and without depending on mood... We lower-case all e-mails in our systems. I'll let you know when

Yes, this is so important to communicate. I think "waiting for inspiration" is a bad approach and bad advice for anyone who want to do something professionally. Unless you are inspired 20-40 hours per week, only hobbyists have the

Yes. Just ignore people's schadenfreude. They behave like in kindergarten. Just slalom through the maelstrom of lemmings that they are. Ok, I took it too far. I'll go have a lager now.

Cool. It seems to distinguish words with and without trailing period for some reason ("MySQL" and "MySQL."), which seems a bit too specific. Perhaps a good reason to, though.

The core principle built into our society is that a lot of people on earth must suffer and die so that the lucky few can live the prosperous lives we do. Just saying. Admitting it is maybe not so popular.
