We are G-Suite at work so obviously use Hangouts Meet everywhere. However, whenever we need a company-wide meeting we switch to Zoom as apparently HM can't handle this.

Atlassian get away with their awful software because there is no decent competition. Rather than moonshots from Google, or free internet from Facebook, or even buying a football team; somebody putting their hand in their pocket and funding

I interviewed with them in Oxford UK. The tech people there don't have a clue about the stress they cause the academic community. Only reason I knew is because my wife is an ex-academic. It is interesting however how there is never any

Am I being paranoid that, by collecting CC numbers, Facebook will then use that to share data with retailers to collect the precise purchase history of a user?

Not just Google - when you cast you handoff a URL to the CC to stream from - this could be from Netflix, or anywhere really. 8.8.8.8 as a brute-force backup I can understand, but by default it should be taking the network DHCP settings.
