It’s accessiblity is pretty bad and it’s not tweakable. Why support sites which treat the UI as if everyone can see perfectly?

I somewhat agree. When I had a content team, sprints made sense, since we adapted it to go in line with Advertising's publishing calendar. Development had to be done at a certain point and once we shipped the pieces, we published. On m

Looking at companies like Reddit and Facebook in general. Do you really want that vast amount of targeted info in their hands? They can't be trusted. I'd trust a company more adapt with HIPAA and have valid PII measures in place.

If a platform is promoted by physician groups or by insurers, it may take off. That would be far better than some of the utter crap on Reddit. A lot is happening in the medical space, with companies like Oscar and appointment scheduling app

Reddit is usually a crapshoot of quality. Maybe someone will have something for Y Combinator (et al) soon, that's more of a targeted platform for these types of things. Reddit and Facebook both suck at this.

True but I’m a snob about it since I don’t eat fast food but do like a good burger. It’s something I rarely eat. So it’s like the Van Halen Brown M&Ms, if they have Sysco ketchup, I can assume (yeah, yeah) the place doesn’t care about w

Possibly in my primate brain but I tend to prefer savory over sweet. But fried potatoes, salt and ketchup may be the key to why I have a preference.

I still prefer Heinz. I’ve had gourmet ketchup and still go back to Heinz. I’ve walked out of places for using that Sysco garbage ketchup.

If you think it’s only a tweet, you’re naive. It’s the discussion and mainly it’s also links to the content. Just because it’s 140ish characters doesn’t mean it takes an instant to read and move on.

I use the “like” button a lot but mainly because Twitter doesn’t have a read later or save function. I don’t necessarily like because I enjoy the content, I like because I want to digest it at a different time

If most Nextdoor members understood the implications, it would be great. But most people have no problem giving away their information.

I believe they're deliberately misleading around what the issue is. It's not that Sync was enabled, it's that you were logged in period.

I had the same problem with Amazon and it was downright shocking but I'm glad it happened. Now I know to avoid Amazon recruiters.

Thanks for the response. I think most web devs have always treated accessibility as "low priority". It's not top of mind until it becomes a part of your daily job. I've been there. How close is it to 2.0 A, currently?

now if they only made gutenberg stick to wcag 2.1 or Section 508, it could change the world. Otherwise, it's not too different from the Frontpages or NetObjects Fusions of the past
