The irony that banks take a stand against these small time shop owners is ridiculous, they are all guilty of laundering billions of dollars. I can see smaller credit unions being genuinely concerned, but big banks? Really? It allows them to

I too, enjoy the position in history I was raised in. Old enough to remember memorizing phone numbers and having a list in my teenage wallet of all the girls (and friends) I knew. Remembering how things were before cell phones and facebook

I read this article a few days ago. It's a very interesting read, one that made me rethink some of my online habits. It is somewhat misleading because the guy who did this isn't in jail or even in trouble, he just stopped posting

Economists, not economics. The current people who are the "top economists" in the world, are, generally, ill-fit to their jobs. Their abilities to assess risk are horrible. They are making the world a more dangerous place, not saf

You are falling into the curve fitting trap that is epidemic in economics. This is typically what economic "scientists" do, they find a formula that fits a lot of past data, then they publish it as science. If they actually used i

Thank you, this award is really a joke. Economists, generally, don't use their models in the real world. And when they do, they lose billions of dollars. See Myron Scholes. He did it twice. Because his "science" was flawed.

My problem with economists is they call themselves scientists, yet have very little actual "science". Science means, reproducible, testable and predictable ideas. Economists use curve fitting formulas on past data, then call it sc

This is a joke. It's not a Nobel Prize. It's a propaganda award given to promote economics. I have a question, how many "Nobel Prize" winning economists does it take to lose billions of dollars in a hedge fund? The ans

Protecting prosecutors is just like protecting police officers that plant evidence. The power relationship between the government and the people is horribly skewed towards the government. This is just another piece of the puzzle. As soon as

The reason a lot of people think this story is true is because our government wastes a lot of money, so it seems believable.

I coached high school football and I have always thought the high emphasis on sports in American education is a bit strange. Does that mean it is bad? No, I don't think so. Last year, the high school I coached at had to raise about $

As a former teacher of ten years, I completely agree that school is a waste of time, money and resources. School is a baby sitting service that doubles as an "education". The whole system is flawed. No one wants to be there. The
