Let's not move the goalposts - nobody talked about direct democracy. There's no direct democracy anywhere in the world (even in the Swiss is quite limited) so there's no reason to hold the EU to such imaginary standards. Both

So that's exactly how it is in Switzerland and people still say it's the best place in the world. Maybe sometimes the trust in the authorities is also warranted, right? Just keep them in check all the time, it's the only way

I'm confused now: is now the EU the baddie or the governments? Because these are two different entities - and not at least, also "the EU" is a group of government representatives. So folks if you're in the EU and don

AR for the regular guy is something which I remember installing on my mobile over ten years ago - with low expectations, and it never got any better than that, quite the contrary. Powered by AI or not, seems nobody has found (or looked for)

Like you correctly underlined, we are talking here about a slippery slope. Because all what you present is imaginary implications - in the realm of possibility, I agree, just still imaginary in this moment. Now, what could be done to avoid

Let me underline again that with the "fortune teller". I don't take the absolute view on the internet freedom of speech, that hate speech should be allowed. As hate speech is not allowed on the playground (you get your parent

Any intervention, heck even jogging around your house, has a risk. The only important question is: are there less automated errors than human errors? If yes, here's the progress we asked for.

You mean France and Italy where the parties which blame open border policies are governing? Somehow the whole rightwing discourse looks to me based on scare tactics: it will be so bad, it's not yet bad but just wait and it will be! All

The issue with Eastern European woods is that they're being razed - for pellets, furniture, you name it. And rarely replaced. So yes in some places you'll have new growth, but most places there's soil washing and flash floods
