Huh, it's already in distribution. Presumably those shares are held by institutions who use those for investments in projects. That only the few can control which projects are invested in and compounded by [lack of] any semblance of &

Not that I disagree with your sentiment, but it isn't quite so black and white. 6 men owning as much wealth as the poorest 50% of the planet doesn't actually mean much while ever they aren't keeping their money under the

OkCupid you say? I got drugged by a woman on OkC as well. It was in Seattle however and no furniture removal was involved, but it was an equally bad situation.

In my personal experiences I've seen quite the opposite. Specifically, this kind of starvation mostly occurs only in synthetic lock benchmarks. In the real world, cores should be actually doing work in between spinning on cache-line

So basically what it comes down to is the argument for building it in Rust is there are some excited people. And is funny you talk about community, since as the guys on slashdot and others pointed out, the community of people who can use an

Sure, what you say is true but equally so or better for .Net or Java as well, plus they are generally faster and in the case of C# a better language imho. Why not them? You are right, the standard library is a pleasure to work with in Golan

I totally agree that code should be written to be read. It certainly wouldn't hurt if people simply used a more literate programming style no matter what language they choose Far too many people think code as below is acceptable. This

Totally agree, and Rust isn't a sane choice either even though the points you make are valid. Rust has some interesting features, but being C isn't one of them.

Fascinating. So in some sense, and I'm just brain-farting here, the value of a piece is a weighted sum of all the possible squares it could occupy during move generation. Something like a rudimentary path trace. Now trying my best not

Right, although I didn't mean castling into check. I meant tempting a greedy algorithm by throwing away a high value piece (which was always a weakness of early chess machines), although I realize the tree search would spot that. Also
