Rogers used Ericsson before and they were no cheaper than Telus that was heavy huawei. Geography and population density and lack of competition are what make Canadian wireless more expensive than other countries. Either way I would rather p

It is unfortunate that link didn't pursue non worst case scenarios, like being able to import some power, or have some non renewable generation used just enough that it was economic to exist at normal energy prices, with the biggest pa

I have an airgapped network for power plant control system development. A USB drive is used when I need to get data in or out. I know it's not perfect but it protects me from being negligent.

Because there isn't much money to be made. Frequency control used to be provided inherently in every generator. With renewables that isn't the case and no consumer wants to see a new line item on their bill for all the extra cost

Who is going to pay to build and operate this flywheel inertia plant that generates no power ? Sure it is possible but if you are going to spend that kind of money you can do a lot better.

Usually power plant generators are required to respond to system frequency changes with a 5% droop characteristic so that they do regulate frequency by arresting dips and spikes.
