The regression is also due to that a real SRE is expensive. It's cheaper to just get some newly grads to react to alarms following a set runbook of what to do if that alarm triggers. VERY few companies operate at googles scale. For 99.

I dont see how breaking out the messaging part was bad, the messenger app is far superior to the normal one and the chatheads is great. has the same benefit as hangouts, (multiplatform)

This is done in "secure sites" in the militeraly all over the world. the site itself doesnt have internet but some provide connections through a completely seperated series of thin clients outside of the network

I fail to see how this is the industrys fault. The customers only check the sites the have seen commercials for and think is reputable. Its in the end a web of trust and the consumer does not trust randoms
