I understand where you are coming from. Even though it sucks to get rejected, try to see these experiences in a positive light: at least you got some practice interviewing, got some more insight regarding what companies are looking for, etc

Brendan Gregg wrote about this a few years ago [1]. My favorite part: > WTF?? Why is ls(1) running stat() on /etc/localtime for every line of output? [1] http://www.brendangregg.com/blog/2014-05-11/str

Looks pretty neat! I like how snappy the app is. Only thing I'd change is that filter selection: The "standard" menu icon would look better IMO. Congrats on the good job! Btw, now that you did a whole project with React Nativ

Could you provide links to Shirley's books, please? I'm interested in learning about CG.

Pretty good book. I was a bit skeptical when I bought, but it was totally worth the price. Strongly recommend it.

Hmm, interesting question. I'd like to know how other people do it. At work, we generally don't write narrative documentation for server setup. It requires quite the effort to make sure it doesn't go stale. Instead, we keep A

Who's the author? I'd like to learn more about deep learning techniques, so I appreciate any suggestions on introductory materials!

I myself am currently going through an interview process for an SRE position at one of those companies. From what I've seen/read while preparing for this, algorithms knowledge is not as crucial as for a software engineer role.

This looks like a very interesting position to me. I currently work at the Linux Technology Center at IBM. Are you looking only for new hires or would consider internal transfers?

I'm curious about this as well. I have interest in AI, but I'm not sure how companies would see this online degree (even through it is from Stanford).

Last year I really wanted to use ProtonMail, but the lack of SMTP and (at the time) inability to send plain text email were a big no-no for me. So I switched from Gmail to Fastmail. I'm loving the service. The web app is pretty sna

+1 for C25k Pretty solid program to get started running. After that, I'd suggest doing Bridge to 10K [1] Surprisingly to me at the time, Bridge to 10K was way easier than C25k [1]: https://blog.bluefinapps.com/about-bri

That's on my to-read list hahaha. Though, for some reason, I've never seen many people recommending it. Would you care to share your thoughts on that book? I'd really appreciate it!

Just adding my 2 cents. I've found the writing of Clojure Programming to be very dull, to be honest. Sure, it is clear and detailed, but it gets boring after a while. I think the Joy of Clojure is a better read (at least for me). The u
