I haven't used Joomla but have worked on Drupal sites. It is possible to build a reasonable and scalable sites in Drupal, but often times you'll find instead is novice web devs have chosen Drupal because they know very little about relation

I've been happy with dnsimple.com, not the cheapest but has a clean UI, intelligent features, and intelligent support the YC crowd here would appreciate.

Unlikely to deter the tax. 7000 added jobs not much compared to the hundreds of millions California projects to earn from the ecommerce tax.

So true. Apache + mod_php is very reasonable choice. Anyone who advocates using FastCGI instead of mod_php to "save memory" just doesn't understand what the actual memory footprint of Apache + mod_php really is, and how adjust the number of

Great info. Was this app featured prominently in either store at any time, or just listed rank and file with all the other apps?

A lot of companies have armies of talented engineers and designers but their products still suck compared to Apple because they don't have what Apple has: an uncompromising singular vision and putting design first. Other companies with plen

Yes, I get it: some hackers of lore kept adding magic commands to the unix line editor until it grew into a stand-alone editor. Still doesn't appeal to me. Too many arcane keystrokes to do simple edits.

No, clean HTML semantics still matters a lot! Forget about programmatic efficiencies like crawlers and page load times. Think about the poor web dev who is handed this steaming heap of bad markup like so: Management: "We need you to change

For example a for loop is typical serial semantics: for (i=0;i<10;i++) { a[i] = i*10; } ... but it's obvious that this loop can execute all passes in parallel so we want to pass a concurrency suggestion to the compile

Yes, C's memory model is fraught with concurrency race conditions, but it's fast, direct, and dangerous and that's part of it's appeal. It'd be a shame to see C be tamed and muddled to look more like its caged derivatives.

For C I'd rather see parallel capabilities added to the stdlib rather than messing with C's syntax. Syntax creep has rendered C++ practically incomprehensible for mere mortals and it'd be a shame to see C get pushed down the same path to ma
