In addition to the easy to install, easy to use IDE, I'd say the real innovation was a standard, idiot-proof way of programming the AVR with a well known bootloader. From back when I was working on AVRs at university (2003-2004), I rem

Sure. But do you think FFOS will be closer to FreeBSD or closer to WebOS?

So, are there anyone that are working on developing FFOS further? If not, it's dead for all practical purposes. Just like WebOS is dead even though that was open sourced as well. I'm not excited at all to see what they do with con

Can't any platform claim that as a benefit? For a consistent platform to have any value you'd like it to stick around for some time... Unlike FirefoxOS.

Isn't the SSD replaceable on all of them? Sure, there are trade offs, but do you think built in Ethernet is important enough to warrant making a laptop thicker, given the WiFi speeds we have today?

My guess is for location services to provide better altitude accuracy than with GPS alone. That can be used to figure out if your on or below an overpass, if your on the second floor of some building etc and take elevation into account when

The same can be said about almost any terrorist action. They're not generally limited by what is possible to do, but mostly by what people are willing to do. That something like this hasn't happened just shows that there just aren

I know what NFC is. I know how easy it is to implement and how cheap it is (I have two dev boards myself). I was making a joke. My point was that after Apple releases something, many competitors often follow the same path, even though said

There's a difference between bugs that cause downtime and bugs that endanger the life of the patient, and I think the FDA is primarily concerned with the latter. I would think a bug that caused the wrong image to be captured and could

Apple made a connector that they hope might last for 10 years like the 30 pin connector. During that time, USB has gone through mini, micro a/b and now the micro USB 3 connector, and the USB forum recently announced that they are worki
