The state is an entity designed to benefit all at the cost of the few, but thanks to the corruption of uneven power, the state ends up benefitting those in power at the cost of those not in power.

Why should a majority be able to decide who and who doesn't get to participate in the market?

And an even better question: Would we need to ask ourselves these questions if these nonsense laws didn't exist?

I think the better question is: Does the law that Uber is subverting make sense in the first place?

You want it out, but it's pretty clear other people don't. Why are you able to force your personal views on other? You are free to choose not to use Uber, others are free to choose for themselves.

Voting is an illusion of choice. You have the choice to use Uber or not, You don't have a choice when it comes to following the law. How is state not a huge corporation?

I agree that it is an opinion. It's a choice between liberty or equality, we can't have both. In order to make things equal, people are forced to give up their income.

Higher wages drive prices up, and price out less productive workers. Sure, the people who remain employed are better off. But what about everyone who has to pay higher prices, and workers who are now unable to find a job? Why is it ok to ta

Having a large group of people (including the Trump administration) not "believe" (in this case, beliefs shouldn't matter, we should be looking at facts) climate change is exactly why this should not be a public issue. Once i

I don't think many people disagree that climate change exists. What's debated is what the proper solution is. Throwing public money necessarily diverts private resources. Who is to say gov't has a better solution? Would you r

Just because a law exists doesn't mean it's a good law. Uber is finding inefficient/protectionist laws and challenging their validity. I think that is better for the overall economy.
