Used it for five years. You've distilled the all the problems of HA nicely to its source. The product is fine for a while, until the arrogance and disregard the devs have against the user base inevitably breaks something and you have

I'm surprised they didn't mention #1 implies a cost benefit, or maybe they don't use it at scale in certain areas that it matters. I worked with one company that switched from Python to Go. They went from twenty-one instanc

As someone who has started side projects with very technical and opinionated friends, just stick with Rust. Make a decision, stick with it, ship it. If there's a real problem, change it after you have it up and running. There's

The two things I always bring up in interviews on why I like Go: 1) Easy to use pointers. There's just pointers, not like C where you can have anywhere from 4 to 8 different types depending on your platform. And no, pass by reference

Hubitat’s UI looks like it came from the early 2000s. There’s a small learning curve to get used to its philosophy, but it’s pretty consistent. Once you get it, it’s stupidly easy. I mean for your case, as a dashboard, HA might be better b

From a libertarian philosophical standpoint I like this, but I'd like to know more practical reasons. Is it just the fact that it's a massive amount of R&D that's only recouped from sales and marketing?
