I think most of extensions that are not listed as compatible with Android version of Firefox is due the developer's lazyness to test it on Android and check the additional checkbox submitting it to the store. There are some differences

They switched to browser with the same powerless extensions indeed. Because the difference is no more. An attitude of Mozilla Firefox team is against power users clearly for so long, and that's an only logical outcome.
